begins. Players take turns tossing two dice and moving their
markers the number showing on the dice. The players follow the
rules of the board, as listed below, and try to beat the other players
to the center of the board to win. Rules of the Board: The
Bridge on space 6 advances you to space 12. An
Inn on space 19 delays you one turn. The
Well on space 31 delays you two turns. The
Maze of space 42 confuses you and you return to space 30. The
Dungeon on space 52 keeps you locked up until another traveler lands
there and takes your place, sending you to their starting place. Space
58 is the death space, or the cooked goose, sending you back to the
beginning. A dice total of 9
advances you to the next dice field (spaces 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54). You need an exact count to reach the center, space 63.
Excess moves are taken backward from the center. Landing on a goose (spaces 5, 14, 23, 32, 41, 50, 59) repeats your
dice value, whether you are moving forward or backward from the center. The Game Board The game board is drawn in black and white so children can color the
board any way they choose. Click here to access the page with the
game board and then click on your Browser's Print Button to print the
page on your printer, or select Print from a Pull-down Menu. Visit my Children's Books /
